CM Jagan credits Rs 1109 crore into the accounts of 1 crore women SHGs
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday credited Rs 1109 crore into the accounts of one crore women self-help groups. The amount was paid towards the zero-interest loan scheme for the SHGs.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that his government is striving for empowerment of women from the day one of coming to power. The CM stated that 43,000 belt shops and 4,380 permit rooms were removed as a move towards making the state liquor free. He also spoke about giving more priority to women in urban local bodies.
