Visakha Steel Plant to supply liquid medical oxygen; Train from Mumbai reaches Vizag
Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) has made nation and Andhra Pradesh proud by taking decision to supply liquid medical oxygen through the Indian Railways in the wake of oxygen shortage to patients undergoing treatment in hospitals after they tested positive to coronavirus.
A train with seven empty gas tankers had left from Kalamboli Goods Yard and reached Visakhapatnam to carry oxygen to Maharashtra, the worst hit state due to Covid-19. Some experts say that the VSP was able to supply oxygen as it is a PSU. “If the VSP is sold to private entities then there is no chance of supplying oxygen,” they added.
