New Zealand suspends entry of travellers from India
New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced a temporary suspension on the entry of all passengers from India into the nation. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said that the citizens of New Zealand who are in India are also not allowed to enter the nation. The ban on entry of Indian travellers into New Zealand will come into force from April 11 and will end on 28th April.
The New Zealand government will look into measures to resume the travel. It is known that 23 new Coronavirus positive cases reported at the country's border and 17 out of them were from India. Therefore, the government took the decision.
