ZPTC and MPTC elections: AP govt declares holidays on April 7 and 8
Chief Secretary Adityanath Das issued a GO declaring holidays for government and private offices, commercial establishments and educational institutions on Wednesday and Thursday on account of ZPTC and MPTC elections. Liquor shops would be closed two days ahead of parishad elections.
In the order, the CS stated that holiday was declared on April 7 in order to make arrangements for polling to be held on April 8. Both days for employees are paid holidays. Holidays were declared to facilitate the voters to cast their votes. Counting of votes will be held on April 10.
