Sasikala alleges her name removed from voter list
VK Sasikala, the close aide of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa alleged that her name has been "removed" from the voters' list without her knowledge. She termed it as an "injustice" and stated that legal action will be initiated against the officials. Reacting to the issue, a poll officer said that there is no conspiracy behind it and stated that it was her responsibility to ensure her name on the voter list.
Earlier, Sasikala's name was listed in Chennai's Thousand Lights Assembly constituency. She was the resident of Ms Jayalalithaa's Poes Garden residence. It is known that Sasikala recently released from jail and she was prisoned for four years in a disproportionate assets case.
