West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee writes letter to opposition leaders
KOLKATA: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wrote letters to Opposition party leaders requesting them to unite to fight against the Bharatiya Janata Party to defend the democracy in India. Trinamool Chief stated in the letter as " I am writing this letter to you to convey my serious concerns over a series of assaults by the BJP and its government at the Centre on democracy and constitutional federalism in India." In the letter, Mamata Banerjee alleged that the relation between states and the Centre was at worst since independence.
Mamata Banerjee wrote letters to the 15 opposition leaders including Chief Sonia Gandhi, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, DMK Chief MK Stalin, Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, Telangana CM KCR, RJD Chief Tejaswi Yadav, SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti and NC chief Farooq Abdullah.
