PM Modi hails Prof Srinivas from Vijayawada for creating wonders with metal scrap

During the Maan ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appreciated Professor Srinivas Padkandla, who is working as HoD of the Fine Arts at Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU), for making sculptures from automobile metal scrap. “These huge sculptures made by him have been placed in public parks and people are watching them with great excitement,” he mentioned.
Sculptures made from metal scrap were placed in parks located in Vijayawada, Guntur, Anantapur, Kurnool and many other places. Recognising Srinivas’ efforts, the AP government had presented him Ugadi Puraskaram Award in 2018.
