Neelam Sahni appointed as Andhra Pradesh new SEC
Nilam Sahni, the Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, has been appointed as State's new State Election Commissioner. The AP government led by CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy recently sent a letter to Governor Bishwabhushan Harichandan proposing the name of Nilam Sahni for the appointment of a new State Election Commissioner. Governor Harichandan has approved the government's proposal. Orders were issued appointing Neelam Sahni as SEC, it is learned.
Neelam Sahni is serving as Chief Adviser to AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The tenure of the present SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar will end by the end of this month. Neelam Sahni will replace him as the new SEC.
