Normal life hit in Krishna district as political parties, trade unions extend support for Bharat Bandh
Normal life came to halt on Friday across the Krishna district as political parties, employees’ unions and trade groups extended support for the Bharat Bandh against privatisation of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) and new farm laws. The RTC buses were confined to depots with ruling party declaring support for the nationwide strike.
However, emergency and essential services were exempted from taking part in the bandh. All political parties have made an appeal to people to support bandh and make it success. Farmer unions gave a call for nationwide strike on the occasion of their protest completing four months.
