CM Jagan opens Kurnool Airport, names it after freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy
Addressing a public meeting after inaugurating the Orvakal Airport in Kurnool on Thursday, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy named the airport after freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. He criticised opposition leader and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu for opening the airport without getting approval from the DGCA to run the flights only to derive the mileage in 2019 elections.
The CM said that the airport was constructed within two years after YSRCP government sanctioned Rs 110 crore for completing the pending works. Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy, YSRCP MPs and MLAs, and officials were present.
