CM KCR announces 30 per cent fitment for govt staff, raises retirement age to 61
During the Budget Session of the Legislative Assembly, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Monday announced 30 per cent fitment to over 9 lakh government employees and enhanced the retirement age to 61. The increased fitment will come into effect from April 1 and retirement age hike from today. Even, the gratuity payment was increased to Rs 16 lakh to present Rs 12 lakh. The salary hike would also be applicable to outsourcing and contract employees, VRAs, ASHA and Anganwadi workers. The CM fulfilled the long pending demand of pensioners by declaring an additional quantum of pension at the rate of 15 per cent of basic pension for those who have completed 70 years.
