E-pass compulsory in Tamil Nadu, as per new travel guidelines
Tamil Nadu: Amid increasing coronavirus positive cases, the Tamil Nadu government imposed a new set of travel guidelines. On Saturday, a new 526 coronavirus positive cases reported and increasing panic among the citizens and officials. The total number of Coronavirus cases reached 8,54,554. Tamil Nadu is one of the eight states in the nation which reporting new COVID-19 cases.
According to the new guidelines, business traveller on a short 72-hour trip or less than three days to the state are exempt from home quarantine. The state made e-pass compulsory document for all international passengers and domestic travellers. As per statements, the residents of neighbouring states of Karnataka, Puducherry and Andhra Pradesh are exempted.
