AP govt to launch new scheme on International Women’s Day
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has decided to launch a new scheme of distributing sanitary napkins for girl students studying in government schools and colleges coinciding with the International Women’s Day. Sanitary pads manufactured by branded companies will be distributed to students free of cost from July 1.
Every month, ten sanitary pads will be given to girl students, who are studying from 7th to 12th standard at government schools and colleges. The AP government will be spending Rs 41 crore towards free distribution of sanitary napkins every year.
