AP HC adjourns hearing of MPTC, ZPTC re-notification pleas

AMARAVATI: The Andhra Pradesh High Court heard the petition filed seeking re-notifications for MPTC and ZPTC elections in the state on Friday. Jana Sena and others filed several petitions in the High Court seeking re-notification for the elections. It is mentioned in the petition that in the past, the ruling YSCRP threatened the contestants to withdraw their nominations.

After hearings, the High Court asked the State Election Commissioner to file a counter affidavit in the mater by Monday. The government said that SEC is delaying citing there exist many court cases. The HC adjourned the further hearing to 8th March.
