Municipal Polls: AP High Court suspends SEC orders on renomination
AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh High Court suspended the orders issued by State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar allowing the contestants to file renominations at severe places. It is known that SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar issued orders to file renominations at 14 places in the municipal elections. The SEC issued the orders after receiving a few complaints from the contestants they failed to file nominations due to threats.
The SEC permitted them to file nominations on 2nd March from 11 AM to 3 PM and the last date for nominations withdraw is 4th March by 3 PM. The High Court also suspended the orders of SEC against volunteers and asked not to seize the mobiles.
