Chinese hackers targets Telangana power supply
HYDERABAD: The Chinese hackers' group targeted and tried to attack the Telangana State Load Dispatch Centre (TSLDC) which monitors the power supply in the state. As per reports, the malware targeted 40 substations but the attack was successfully prevented by the Telangana government agencies. The hackers also targeted the power supply in Mumbai last year. It is said that the Central Electricity Authority alerted the state government on Monday evening that a China-based groups command and control servers trying to communicate with TSLDC systems and asked to take all safety measures. After receiving the alert message, the state officials removed all malware at 40 substations and strengthened the firewall.
