President Kovind inaugurates world’s largest cricket stadium in Gujarat
President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday inaugurated the world’s largest cricket stadium at Ahmedabad in Gujarat. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Asian Cricket Council president Jay Shah and other BCCI officials were present during the opening of the stadium.
The stadium has a capacity to accommodate 1.3 lakh spectators and it was constructed in 63 acres land. India and England will play the third Test match at Motera stadium as the inaugural game which will start at 2:30 noon. Kovind also participated in ground-breaking ceremony of sports complex in the stadium.
