AP Cabinet takes decision to pass resolution in Assembly against steel plant privatisation
Minister Perni Nani informed the media on Tuesday that the state Cabinet took a decision to pass a resolution in the Legislative Assembly opposing privatisation of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP). He stated that resolution passed in the Assembly would be forwarded to the Central government. “Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to reconsider the decision of the VSP privatisation and explore alternative options for making the RINL profitable,” he stated. Nani mentioned that the YSRCP MPs have met Union Minister Amit Shah and submitted a memorandum to him against disinvestment in VSP.
