Cabinet decisions: AP govt to return 2,180 acres acquired for Kakinada SEZ
The Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday took some key decisions. In the three-hour long meeting, the Cabinet decided to return 2,180 acres acquired for the Kakinada SEZ to villagers belonging to six villages and approval was given to implementation of Navaratnalu and EBC Nestham for the next calendar year.
Another important decision taken by the Cabinet was providing bank guarantee for Rs 3000 crore to spend towards government buildings which were incomplete in the Amaravati Metropolitan Region Development Authority. The Cabinet also took a decision to pass a resolution in the Assembly against privatisation of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant.
