Increase RT-PCR tests in states: Centre

NEW DELHI: Amid increasing Coronavirus positive cases across the nation, the Centre ordered the state governments to increase the RT-PCR testings and all negative Rapid Test results to be mandatorily followed by RT-PCR tests. The Centre asked the state governments to conduct strict tests amid the increasing Coronavirus cases in the nation. As per reports, more than 74 per cent of cases are reported in Maharashtra and Kerala.
Cases are also increasing in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir. Amid increasing COVID-19 cases, the Maharashtra government imposed a lockdown in various districts. The Centre requested the people to follow Coronavirus lockdown guidelines.
