Tamilisai Soundararajan takes charge as Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry
Tamilisai Soundararajan, governor of Telangana took an oath as Lt Governor of Puducherry in Raj Nivas today. Sanjib Banerjee, the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court administered the oath of office to her. She took the oath in the Tamil language. On February 16, the chief secretary of Puducherry readout the president Ram Nath Kovind orders announcing Tamilisai is going to take additional charges of Puducherry.
Soundararajan is the 5th woman to take charges of the Lt Governor of Puducherry. Earlier, Kiran Bedi removed from the post on Tuesday after presidential orders. Puducherry CM and other ministers attended the oath-taking ceremony.
