Couples in Thailand get married while riding elephants on Valentine's Day
In an unexpected move, fifty-nine couples in Thailand tied the knot while riding elephants recently. The mass wedding ceremony took place in an annual Valentine's Day celebrated at a botanical garden in a province east of Bangkok. The custom of elephant-back wedding, which has been existing for many years, is an annual event at the Nong Nooch Tropical Garden in Chonburi province.
The wedding event usually draws the attention of a hundred couples. But due to the coronavirus pandemic this year, the numbers of mass wedding while rising elephants were down.
