Amaravati land deals: Supreme Court hears arguments on SIT probe, expresses anger over Varla Ramaiah, Alapati
A Supreme Court Bench led by Justice Ashok Bhushan on Tuesday heard arguments on SIT constituted by the AP government to probe land purchases in Amaravati. The apex court has expressed anger over TDP leaders Varla Ramaiah and Alapati Rajendra for not submitting counter affidavits to notices served to them.
The top court gave a deadline of two weeks for the TDP leaders to submit affidavits and made it clear to them that it is the last chance for them. If the TDP leaders fail to submit affidavits then the Supreme Court will go ahead with further hearing.
