DGP responds on Peddyreddy house arrest
Andhra Pradesh State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar has directed the State DGP Goutham Sawang to confine the State Panchayati Raj Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy in his house till February 21st. He has also directed that the minister would not be given access to media to ensure that his remarks will not have an adverse impact on the ongoing panchayat elections in Andhra Pradesh.
Reacting to these developments, the State DGP Goutham Sawang said he is in the office for the last one hour and added that he has not received its copy. AP DGP said after getting the copy, he would go through the details and proceed with his duty responsibilities. AP DGP said neither he is connected with any political concerns nor will he be involved in anybody's concerns.
