Opposition stages walkout in Rajya Sabha; demands debate over the farm laws
High drama witnessed at the upper house of the Parliament where the opposition staged a walk-out in Rajya Sabha demanding debate over the Central farm laws. The Upper House had been adjourned till 11:30 am. Eight to ten members of parliament had already given a suspension of business notice over the farm laws. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi on Tuesday made an appeal to the opposition not to create a ruckus over farm laws and cooperate with Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu for a healthy debate on several issues. Meanwhile, the farmers’ protest against farm laws entered 67th day on Tuesday.
