Double murder accused Padmaja behaves strangely in Madanapalle sub-jail, shifted to Ruia
Padmaja, one of the accused in the double murder case, had behaved strangly in Madanapalle sub-jail. Fellow inmates have complained to jail authorities that they couldn’t sleep throughout the night as she kept on shouting and writing on cell walls in an unknown language.
Jail staff had difficulty in keeping Padmaja calm.
Inmates requested jail officials to shift her to some other prison. Meanwhile, the police brought Padmaja and her husband, Purushottam Naidu, to the Ruia Hospital in Tirupati for mental illness treatment. A psychiatrist working in the government hospital has confirmed Padmaja was suffering from delusion.
