AP High Court strikes down GO on removing Ashok Gajapathi Raju from Ramatheertham temple chairmanship
VIZIANAGARAM: A big relief to Telugu Desam Party senior leader Ashok Gajapathi Raju as Andhra Pradesh High Court dismissed the orders issued by the state government removing him from Ramatheertam temple chairmanship. Addressing the media after the Court verdict, Ashok Gajapathi Raju said that once again he got the opportunity to serve Lord Rama.
Ashok Gajapathi Raju took to Twitter and tweeted as "The order removing me as the Hereditary Trustee/Chairman of Ramatheerdhalu has been set aside by the Honorable High Court today. I saw in news that it is the Prathista at Ramatheerdhalu today. Lord Rama blessed me on this auspicious day to continue in his service."
It is known that after Ramatheertham incident, the Andhra Pradesh government removed Ashok Gajapathi Raju from Ranmatheertham temple Paidithalli Ammavari temple and Mandapalli temple trust. Later, Ashok Gajapathi Raju approached the state High Court challenging the government orders.
