Red Fort to remain shut for visitors till Jan 31
NEW DELHI: After the violence on Republic Day, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) officials issued orders that the Red Fort will remain closed for visitors from January 27 to 31 January. As per orders, the reason behind the closure of Red Fort is the officials will conduct the repair works for the damage caused to the historical monument during the farmers' tractor march on Republic Day.
It is also known that the Red Fort was closed for the visitors from 19th January to 22nd January due to the bird flu. Later, it was closed from January 22 to 26 January for Republic day celebrations. During the protest, the ticket counters in the Red Fort has damaged by the protesters.
