Legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam to be awarded Padma Vibhushan
Tollywood legendary singer Sripati Panditaradhyula Balasubrahmanyam has been awarded the Padma Vibhushan posthumously by the President Ramnath Kovind. It is known that SP Balasubrahmanyam passed away in September 2020 due to complications from COVID-19. It is known that Padma Vibushan is the second-highest civilian award in the nation after Bharat Ratna.
Legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam already honoured with Padma Shri in 2001 and Padma Bhushan in 2011. SP Balu won six national awards for his singing and 25 Nandi awards. He secured a special place in the hearts of not only Telugu people hearts but everyone in the nation likes him a lot. The state government released the list of Padma Awardee recipients include 105 Padma Shri Awards, 10 Padma Bhushan and 119 Padma Vibhshan.
