Devineni Uma slams Jagan govt for obstructing process of panchayat elections
Former TDP minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao on Saturday slammed the Jagan government for obstructing the process of panchayat elections. In a press meet, he welcomed the notification of the State Election Commission to hold panchayat polls in February. The TDP leader came down heavily on ministers for criticising State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh on several occasions. He demanded the SEC to deploy central forces for panchayat polls and cancel all unanimous ZPTC and MPTC seats. The minister lashed out at the Panchayat Raj officials for not attending the meeting convened by the SEC.
