Fire breaks out at Serum Institute Of India’s vaccine plant in Pune

A major fire broke out at Serum Institute Of India’s Covishied vaccine manufacturing plant in Pune on Thursday afternoon. On receiving information, ten fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse flames. The fire erupted at the fifth floor of the SII’s plant, said sources.
However, the production of the covid vaccine is not being carried out in the building in which fire mishap took place. According to reports, three out of four people, who were inside the building, were rescued. The reason for the fire accident is still unknown.
