Vijayawada: Tension erupts in Gollapudi: Devineni Uma VS Kodali Nani

Tension erupted at Gollapudi in Vijayawada on Tuesday for seven hours after the former Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao's arrest. Police who arrested Devineni Uma at Gollapudi on Tuesday morning left him after seven hours.

Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, who was preparing to launch a protest at the NTR statue in Gollapudi, after accepting the minister Kodali Nani's challenge for a debate, was stopped by the police when he arrived at the NTR statue in Gollapudi.

The followers of TDP and the YSRCP have also reached the venue. It has escalated tension among the cadre of both the parties. Police took the former Minister Devineni Uma into their custody. It has led to the tension like situation at Gollapudi.
