CBI probing insider trading in Amaravati land purchases: Sajjala
Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, the advisor to the AP government, said on Tuesday that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is probing insider trading allegations in Amaravati land purchases. He termed Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday night as a routine one. However, he hinted that both might discuss illegal land deals in Amaravati.
Sajjala made the TDP responsible for the arrest of former TDP minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao at Gollapudi Centre in Vijayawada earlier in the day. In the meeting between Jagan and Amit Shah, the discussion may take place about three capitals, setting up the High Court in Kurnool, and revised cost estimates of the Polavaram Project.
