Employees unions to file petition in High Court against SEC schedule on panchayat polls
Andhra Pradesh Government Employees’ Federation chairman K Venkatram Reddy said on Saturday that 65 employees’ unions will be filing a petition in the High Court against the State Election Commission’s decision to hold gram panchayat elections in February.
Speaking to the media in Vijayawada, Venkatram Reddy stated that government teachers are crucial in conducting panchayat elections. “Transfer of teachers is underway and it may take more than one month for completion of transfers,” he mentioned. State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar is putting the lives of employees at risk to take revenge against Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, he added.
