AP govt inks pact with Cambridge varsity for helping students, teachers to improve English skills
The AP government has entered into an agreement with Cambridge University for helping the students and teachers of the municipal schools to improve their proficiency in the English language. Commissioner and Director of Municipal Administration GSRKR Vijay Kumar said that 8,000 teachers have undergone the training and passed the assessment test conducted by Cambridge University.
Training will be imparted to another 4,000 teachers, he mentioned. The state government will set up 14 English training labs in 13 districts and three studios in Visakhapatnam, Kurnool, and Vijayawada. The AP government’s initiative will benefit 4 lakh students studying in municipal schools.
