Minister KTR writes to Centre for reinstating ITIR In Hyderabad
HYDERABAD: Telangana IT minister K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) wrote a letter to the Centre to reinstate the Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) project which sanctioned in 2010 for Hyderabad. According to the reports, KTR mentioned in the letter that the Centre designed a new project ITIR in 2008 to encourage the greater IT investments in the nation. He stated that the project was sanctioned to Hyderabad and Bengaluru in 2010 and the Telangana government identified 49,000 acres of land in Hyderabad to encourage the new IT companies.
He said that the estimated cost of the five projects is Rs 3275 crores and the Central government approved from the proposals. He mentioned that for the first two projects approved, the state and Central government contacted with the Railways and Road transport ministries for additional budget sanctioning. He added that none of the ministries reacted to the proposals and the projects are not started.
He added that CM KCR and he wrote many letters and handed over the memorandums about the project to the Centre. He said that the project will help the youth of Telangana to secure jobs
