Vote-for-note case: Jerusalem Mathaiah confesses to ED about Chandrababu’s role
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials recorded the statement of Jerusalem Mathaiah, one of the accused in the vote-for-note case. He confessed to ED about the role of TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu in the case. Mathaiah informed the ED that he struck a deal with MLA Stephenson to vote in favour of the TDP MLC candidate.
“I was offered Rs 50 lakh for striking the deal with the MLA,” he mentioned. Mathaiah revealed to the ED officials that he agreed to talk with Stephenson at the behest of Chandrababu and the then TDP leader Revanth Reddy.
