21-year-old Arya Rajendran from Kerala to become India’s youngest mayor
Arya Rajendran, the 21-year-old ward councillor from Mudavanmugal set to become the new Thiruvananthapuram mayor. She will be creating a record of India’s youngest mayor. Arya’s father is an electrician and her mother is a LIC agent. To give an opportunity to youngsters, the CPM district unit has recommended her name to the state leadership.
A decision regarding her candidature for the mayor post is expected on Saturday. Arya is a student from the All Saints College and a member of the SFI State Committee. She is also a member of the CPM Kesavadev Road Branch Committee.
