NCP dismisses speculations about Sharad Pawar as UPA chief
The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has dismissed reports that Sharad Pawar will now be heading the United Progressive Alliance (UPA). The party has refused all such speculations which assume that Pawar will replace Sonia Gandhi, as the chairperson of the opposition alliance.
According to sources, AICC chief Sonia has expressed unwillingness to continue as the UPA chief. Pawar, who will turn 80 this December, says he is capable of bigger roles. Shiv Sena MP, Sanjay Raut, also dismisses the news report. However, he welcomed any such move in the future.
