Union Minister Amit Shah calls farm leaders for talks today evening in Delhi
Bowing to the pressure exerted by farmers’ groups and 25 political parties like Congress, NCP, TRS by calling an all-India strike over new farm laws, Union Home Minister Amit Shah called leaders of farmers’ unions for talks on Tuesday evening in Delhi.
Earlier, the Centre held six rounds of negotiations with farm union leaders to end protests against farm laws.
According to sources, the Central government is ready to accept some more demands of farmers including assurance on minimum support price. But, the farmers’ organisations are demanding the Centre to withdraw farm laws.
