Mystery illness: Centre sends 3-member expert team to Eluru with Venkaiah Naidu’s intervention

The Central government sent a three-member expert team to the mystery disease-hit Eluru town in West Godavari district after Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu spoke to Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan.
The team comprises AIIMS Associate Professor Dr Jamshed Nayar, Pune-based NIV Virologist Dr Avinash Desohtawar and Dr Sanket Kulkarni, Deputy Director, National Centre for Disease Control. Earlier, Venkaiah spoke to West Godavari Collector Mutyala Raju and AIIMS directors of Delhi and Mangalagiri. The team will reach Eluru on Tuesday and will submit a report to the Union Health Ministry by today evening.
