GHMC polls: SEC asks counting officials to consider ballot papers marked with ink pens
HYDERABAD: The State Election Commission (SEC) on Thursday issued circular in the midnight to the election staff to count the ballot papers event they are marked with ink pens. Usually, ballot papers will be counted only if they are stamped with Swastik mark over the party symbol. But, it is said that during the meeting with election staff, many employees said that they mistakenly gave polling station number instead of Swastik stamp.
To rectify the problem, the SEC ordered the officials to count the ballot papers which are marked with a pen. BJP state president Bandi Sanjay alleged that TRS is trying to win the elections in a wrong way.
