Sasikala applies for early release from Jail
TAMIL NADU: Sasikala, the close aid of Tamil Nadu former Chief Minister Jayalalitha sought permission for early release from the prison. According to the sources. Sasikala relatives paid fin of Rs 10 crore in civil court to release her. Earlier, Sasikala expected to be released from the jail on 27th January 2021 but now she applied for earlier release citing good conduct.
As per jail rules, a convict is eligible for remission of three days on the grounds of good conduct. It is known that Sasikala and her relatives surrendered before the court under a disproportionate assets case.
