Pawan Kalyan visits cyclone damaged crops, demands Jagan govt to announce compensation to farmers
Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on Wednesday visited crops damaged by sudden rains due to the impact of Cyclone Nivar in Krishna district. Speaking to the media in Avanigadda, Pawan Kalyan stated that 2.5 lakh acres of standing crop was destroyed in the district and demanded the YSRCP government to pay Rs 25,000 to Rs 35,000 per acre as compensation to farmers. He mentioned that two farmers in Krishna district have committed suicide unable to bear the damage to their crops. He asked the AP government to announce an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh each to the kin of farmers.
