Polavaram: Chandrababu reverse counter to Minister Anil in Assembly

Opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said in the Legislative Assembly that the TDP government had succeeded in taking forward the Polavaram Project works despite hurdles from neighbouring states and technical glitches. “Nitin Gadkari, who was Union Minister for Water Resources, has told me that the Union Finance Minister wants the AP government to bear the Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) cost,” he revealed.
Chandrababu stated that he opposed the Centre’s decision as Polavaram is a national project. “It was clearly mentioned Polavaram is a national project in the AP Reorganisation Act,” he said.
