JC Diwakar Reddy slapped Rs 100 crore fine for illegal mining of limestone
The Mines and Geology Department has imposed a fine of Rs 100 crore on Trishul Cements Industries India Limited which is owned by J C Pavan Reddy, son of former TDP MP Diwakar Reddy. The fine was slapped for mining 14 lakh metric tonnes of limestone illegally at Konuppalapadu village of Yadiki mandal in Anantapur district. If the Trishul Cements fail to pay the fine then the officials would attach the properties belonging to Pavan. However, Pavan alleged that the ruling YSRCP government has targeted his cement factory as his family was associated with the TDP.
