Minister Perni Nani reacts after escaping unhurt from spade attack

A man allegedly attacked AP Transport Minister Perni Nani on Sunday. The incident took place while the minister was performing memorial service on Sunday. His mother, Nageswaramma, recently passed away. The shocking incident took place in Machilipatnam, in the minister's hometown. The assailant identified as Nageswara Rao, construction labor from Machilipatnam, attacked the minister while pretending to touch the minister's feet. He was immediately arrested and handed over to the police.

Later AP Minister Perni Nani said he does not have any idea about the motive of the attacker.

AP Home Minister Sucharitha has predicted that the mason is a good wisher to TDP. Home Minister said the proper investigation would be done. Former Minister Kollu Ravindra has faulted the Home Minister's comments that TDP influences Mason. Krishna district SP Ravindra Babu said they would investigate the case in all aspects.
