APNGOs’ Association opposes SEC Nimmagadda’s decision to hold Panchayat polls in Feb
The APNGOs’ Association has opposed State Election Commissioner (SEC) Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar’s decision to conduct Panchayat elections in February. The association leaders alleged that the SEC is playing with the lives of government employees by taking a decision to hold Panchayat elections when thousands of coronavirus cases are being reported in the state.
They mentioned that several government employees have succumbed to Covid-19 and some more will die of coronavirus if Panchayat polls are conducted. Association State president N Chandrasekhar Reddy said that the SEC will be responsible if any employee dies while performing election duty.
