Twitter submitted written apology for showing Leh in China
NEW DELHI: Twitter, the social media giant has submitted a written apology to the parliamentary panel for showing Indian territory Leh as a part of China in its geolocation service. BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi said that the company directed to correct the error by 30th November. Ms Lekhi said that Twitter Inc tendered an apology before the parliamentary committee.
It submitted a written apology for hurting the sentiments of people of India. Lekhi said that Twitter wants to do business in the country. It is known that Twitter landed in the controversy after the social media website showed Leh as a part of China.
