Hyderabad municipal polls: High-Decibel political battle continues
Telangana State Election Commission has issued notification for the conduct of the municipal polls in Hyderabad on December 1st. The nomination process will start from November 18th and continue upto November 20th. The Saffron party has already galvanized its political forces for election after their recent win of Dubbaka Bypolls, and they wanted to make maximum gains. National Secretary Bhupender Yadav has been monitoring the BJP poll strategy in Hyderabad. BJP has been hoping that urban votes will come to them. Congress is also confident, stating that they have a vote bank in and around the GHMC area.
On the other hand, the Municipal Administration Minister KTR has been inaugurating a lot of local projects besides announcing the compensation amount of Rs 10,000 to the families affected by the recent flood. BJP-Congress has been alleging that the distribution of money is taking place on political lines.
TRS won 99 in the last municipal poll out of 150 wards in Hyderabad. MIM won 44, followed by BJP with three wins, and two went in favor of Congress.
